The Tennessee Titans land the franchise left tackle fans are hoping for in the first mock draft of ESPN’s Mel Kiper. With their No. 7 selection, the Titans pick Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt, who is widely considered either the best or second-best left tackle in this year’s class. Here’s what Kiper had to say about the pick.: The Titans are another team coming off a lost season, and they moved on from Mike Vrabel in the aftermath. They hired former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as his replacement. Tennessee ranked 31st in the rate of sacks per dropback (11.1%) in 2023, so putting Levis in a better position to succeed should be a priority. Not really much analysis needed here on my end. Alt is exactly the player the Titans need at No. 7 overall to shore up their left tackle spot, which is crucial if the team wants to put quarterback Will Levis in the best possible position to succeed. With Alt and left guard Peter Skoronski, the Titans will be good to go on the left side for the next decade.
