Titans News: Titans' history with 5th-year options after declining Caleb Farley's

When it comes to picking up fifth-year options for first-round picks, there are few teams in the NFL who have been worse in that department than the Tennessee Titans in recent years.According to Jason from Over The Cap, the Titans have picked up just one of their first-round picks’ fifth-year options since 2018, tied for the third-lowest percentage in the NFL. That option belonged to Jeffery Simmons, of course. And that just goes to underscore how awful Jon Robinson’s first-round picks were over the years. He was better in the later rounds of drafts earlier in his tenure but was an abject disaster all over in his last few years. When looking back at the Titans’ history with the fifth-year option, which was first applicable to 2011 first-round picks, Tennessee has a higher percentage of them picked up, but it still isn’t great. Here’s a look at the history of the Titans’ fifth-year options and then a final tally at the bottom comparing how many were picked up or declined.
