The event allows NFL partners “unparalleled access” to up-and-coming stars. On a surface level, there are multiple Saints’ draft picks that might be more deserving than Rattler; however, the event invites appear to be based on marketability rather than talent. Rattler created a well-known brand during his college years in both Oklahoma and South Carolina. Regardless of his rookie performance, he’s thus far proven his “marketability.” Unfortunately, Saints’ second-round pick Kool-Aid McKinstry did not receive an invite to the event. If “marketability” is the cardinal criterion, then perhaps the man named “Kool-Aid” should be atop the list.
