CSC Monday Night Football Saturday special preview and props

Image Expect the Cowboys offense to bounce back at home against the Lions. | Photo by Megan Briggs/Getty Images A playoff preview could be on the slate in this special Saturday version of Monday Night Football as the Detroit Lions visit the Dallas Cowboys. Monday Night Football arrives early this week due to New Years. Fortunately for NFL fans, this last MNF game of the year should be a good one. The Detroit Lions fresh off clinching the NFC North have to travel and face the Dallas Cowboys who are still in the NFC East title hunt. This game likely has seeding repercussions and could be a preview to a playoff game. Each week, Canal Street Chronicles will preview some of the best props and wagers for every Monday primetime game, even if it takes place on a Saturday due to the New Years. Thank you to our friends over at DraftKings sportsbook for the wagering lines for the CSC Monday Night Football week 16 preview and props. CSC MNF week 17 props and best bets Cowboys game line -3.5(-140) The Cowboys are coming off of a last second loss to the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Eve while the Lions are relishing a win that secured the NFC North. The Cowboys are simply going to have much more to play for in this matchup. Dak Prescott and the team have a good matchup against an up-and-down Lions team which they should exploit to win. With the game being in Dallas on a short week as well, the Cowboys have a clear advantage in the matchup. If the Cowboys lose, they are basically eliminated from the NFC East title. Expect an inspired effort from Dallas as they win by more than four. Image Photo by Stephen Maturen/Getty Images Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most dangerous players going into the NFC playoffs. Jahmyr Gibbs anytime TD scorer(+100) One area that the Cowboys have struggled with is containing running backs. In the last month of football, the Cowboys are allowing five yards per carry, one of the worst in the league. That average could take a hit with the duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery now on the slate. Gibbs has emerged as one of the NFL’s most dangerous running backs recently, averaging nearly seven yards per carry in the Lions last four games. Dan Campbell has learned to trust the rookie with the ball, who has a chance to score a touchdown every time he touches the ball. The Lions will find a way to get Gibbs the ball who scores this week in what could be a high scoring affair. Image Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images Jake Ferguson is a dangerous and reliable outlet in this Cowboys offense. Jake Ferguson over 4.5 receptions(-140) Jake Ferguson’s favorite number is eight, because eight is the amount of targets he has garnered in each of the Cowboys last four games. Ferguson has completely taken over the tight end position and runs just as many routes as any player on the team not named CeeDee Lamb. The Lions are decent against the tight end, but the matchup has not seemed to matter for the Cowboys offense lately. Dak Prescott is playing well and spreading the ball around to his playmakers. The game script could call for lots of passes from most teams, so the volume should once again be there for Ferguson to easily go over five catches. Long shot of the night Cowboys + Lions to each score over 25 points(+205) Both the Lions and Cowboys offenses have been playing well lately. Dak Prescott and Jared Goff have both seemed to break out of their mid-season slumps, helping both teams elevate late this season. That is seen in the teams’ over and under as well. No team has more games that have hit the over on point total than the Lions. Not far behind though is the Cowboys, who go over in around 60% of their games. With the line for the game set at 52.5, scoring is expected from both sides. If this is a race to 30, both teams should eclipse 25 points for this prop to hit.
