State of the NFC South: Week 14

Image Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty Images Let’s take a look at the division this week. The NFC South is... awful. None of these teams really deserve to make the playoffs, but one of these teams will. Let’s take a look at this underwhelming division. State of the New Orleans Saints The 5-7 Saints are a disappointment. There are no other words to describe this team. They had the easiest schedule in the NFL and couldn’t even muster a winning record. There is a lot that needs to change about this team. For now, they’ll look to rebound against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are 1-11, and if the Saints lose this one, someone has to be fired. State of the Carolina Panthers There is only one phrase to describe the Panthers: “Dumpster Fire.” The team is horrible, and they don’t even have their first-round pick. I’m not sure what direction this team should go. State of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Bucs currently sit at 5-7 and are in second place in the NFC South. WR Mike Evans hit 1,000 receiving yards with his spectacular performance. This is the 10th straight season he’s reached 1,000 receiving yards. This week they will take on the Falcons at home. A win here could lead to them taking first place in the division. State of the Atlanta Falcons The Falcons are the only team currently .500 in this division. They have scraped by and done just enough to earn a playoff spot. Jesse Bates continues to ball out. They’ll look to go above .500 with a win against the Bucs.
