Their offense has been vastly disappointing, and going from Andy Dalton to Derek Carr didn’t do a lot to help their cause.x Star RB Alvin Kamara recently put the team on blast for not having a defined identity and not being consistent enough, stating that he’s done talking about needing to be better, and it’s time they actually become better. Now, WR Michael Thomas seemed to throw shade at Carr, sharing an old clip of Drew Brees praising him after a game (via Trace on Twitter). michael thomas posted this on his instagram story “we know the truth. some do, some don’t

Even so, the video’s timing is quite odd, as Thomas is currently on Injured Reserve (IR) with yet another injury. Granted that Carr has been vastly underwhelming since arriving in the Big Easy, and he doesn’t look like the guy they need to lead them to the next era. But Thomas has been hurt for the better part of two seasons, so it’s hard to complain about not getting enough touches if you’re not even on the field. The Saints’ offensive issues run deeper than the quarterback position, as their gameplan and scheme are outdated and fail to make the most of their players’ strengths.
