Draft trades have become more and more common in recent years. It’s almost impossible to predict how the draft will play out because of all the variables created by teams moving up and down the draft, trying to get just the right player at just the right spot.Teams that trade up for two reasons; either they fear a player they want will be gone by the time they pick or all the top players at a position of need will be gone. They trade down either because the player they were hoping for at that spot is gone, there are several players they like and assume one will be still there lower, or they simply want more total draft picks. Or, of course, a team looking to move up gives them an offer they can’t refuse.No position is more cause for a trade than quarterback. The Raider are among several teams in this draft with a need at the position. But unfortunately for them, they may have the lowest first round pick among the most QB needy teams. Which means they may feel the need to either jump up and get one of the top prospects or perhaps move back, not seeing the value in the remaining quarterbacks once they are on the clock.It’s a thought experiment worth having. So, in the interest of that, here are five possible trades I could see the Raiders making in order to get their quarterback.
