Raiders News: BYU OT Kingsley Suamataia is a likely target for Raiders in Round 2

The expectation is that the Raiders will draft either an offensive tackle or a cornerback at No. 13. There is a good chance that they will have their pick of all the cornerbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft, and that might be something that is intriguing to the new-look front office of the Raiders. Assuming the Raiders pick Quinyon Mitchell (Toledo) or Terrion Arnold (Alabama) at No. 13, what Day 2 offensive tackle would make the most sense for Las Vegas? In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, they named one potential Day 2 pick that would be the best fit for every team. For the Raiders, that was none other than BYU OT Kingsley Suamataia. Here is why they believe he could be an excellent fit for Las Vegas: The Raiders have a major need at right tackle after losing Jermaine Eluemunor in free agency. BYU’s Kingsley Suamataia has proven himself as an excellent pass protector on either side of the offensive line. His presence on the right side paired with Kolton Miller on the left could potentially be an elite pass-protecting duo. Suamataia is not a polished run blocker, but his athleticism and length come in handy as a pass blocker. He clearly has a lot of strength, but his overall technique needs some work. Still, he would be a fantastic fallback option for Las Vegas in Round 2, if they miss out on a tackle at No. 13.
