DeMario Douglas finally finds the end zone in our best Patriots-Bills prop bets

Image Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports Some of the best prop bets for New England’s Week 17 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The New England Patriots head west to take on their division rival Buffalo Bills on New Year’s Eve as 14-point underdogs, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The injury-ridden Patriots will attempt to sweep the Bills and spoil their playoff chances on the last day of 2023. Here are some prop bets we like while you follow along with the action. Stefon Diggs, Over 0.5 Receiving Touchdowns (+135): In eight career games against New England, Diggs has seven receiving touchdowns. With New England’s secondary banged up, it feels like a safe bet to pick Josh Allen’s favorite target as a touchdown scorer. James Cook, Under 65.5 Rushing Yards (-115): Cook has been wildly inconsistent in his production this year. He ran for 179 against the Cowboys a few weeks ago after recording just 43 yards on 2.7 yards per carry two weeks prior against Philadelphia. Against a New England run defense that has been at the top of the NFL, I expect Cook to get more work in the passing game instead of being used heavily on the ground. Ezekiel Elliott, Under 11.5 Rushing Attempts (+110): Despite the injury to Rhamondre Stevenson, Elliot has hovered around this line the past few weeks. Second-year back Kevin Harris didn’t see the field often, but he was out there enough to eat into Elliott’s load. On the road against a heavily favored Bills team, the Patriots will likely be playing from behind; that means an emphasis on moving the ball through the air rather than on the ground. DaMario Douglas, Anytime TD (+500): The long shot bet this week is picking rookie wide receiver DeMario Douglas to score his first touchdown. Despite being one of the most productive first year wideouts in New England history, Douglas has yet to get into the end zone. He should have plenty of opportunities to change that this week with a banged-up group of receivers.
