Patriots News: All 32 teams (including Patriots) ranked by Relative Athletic Score

The New England Patriots are in their first year rebuilding a lopsided roster that has mostly catered towards the defensive side of the ball. Under former coach Bill Belichick, particularly in his final years with the team, the offense has been held together with stick glue and Duct Tape. There isn’t a ton of athleticism on the offensive side of the ball. Perhaps that’ll change this season after the team spent seven of their eight draft picks on offensive players. Drake Maye is one of the most athletic quarterbacks the team has ever had, and he hasn’t even taken a snap yet. And rookie wideout Javon Baker has already shown himself to be a human highlight reel once he gets going. On paper, however, there are still questions as to whether the Patriots are athletic and explosive enough on the offensive side of the ball. The defense has plenty of athleticism, but of course, the Patriots typically fall behind due to their love for more clunky linebackers. They’ve been slowly starting to trend away from that strategy with linebacker/safety tweeners, like Marte Mapu. How low on the totem pole are the Patriots in regards to athleticism when compared with other teams around the league? Kent Lee Platte, who created the Relative Athletic Score, put together a list of grades and overall rankings for all 32 teams. Here’s where the Patriots ranked in average RAS:
