K'Lavon Chaisson Signs

Carolina's added another edge, K'Lavn Chaisson. It's a one year flier for $5 million maximum but probably incentive heavy, putting him in probable backup territory (i.e., they probably keep looking, this doesn't fill them out).  6'3, 254, couldn't initially find speed on him (2020 included a lot of misinformation and not a lot of actual data).Chaisson was a 2020 1st rounder - 2020 draft picks feature heavily so far in 2024 Carolina additions.   He was 20th overall out of LSU, another part of the 2019 championship team there.   The pick came from the trade of Jalen Ramsey, in the dawn of the Urban Meyer bits. He started 11 games total, all in his first two years.  his snap counts were 51% of 2020, 39%, 18% and 25% from there.  2022 included a knee injury and he played only 9 games (he had a knee injury in 2018 as well).   He also featured heavily in special teams the last three years.    He had his 5th year option declined in 2023.  Career hasn't gone as hoped, but talent is there.
