Josey Jewell Signed, Diontae Johnson Trade

 Dan Morgan is putting in work.ILB Josey Jewell is to sign, and Carolina traded Donte Jackson to Pittsburgh in exchange for WR Diontae Johnson.Johnson, 5'10.5, 190, has scored 25 times in five years. The Toledo product led the Steelers in receiving and scores with 107 and 8, respectfully, in 2021 and again in 2022 (86 receptions but zero scores). He's been productive, he's not a game changer, but he's reliable. Johnson has one year left on his deal.In a few ways, reminds me of DJ Moore, although Moore makes more plays, both produced despite some offensive struggles and QB issues.  In addition to Jackson, who they would have cut, Carolina gave a 6, they get Johnson and a 7.
Jewell, 6'2, 235, is an Iowa product who was drafted six years ago by Denver, where he added 75 tackles per season.  Instinctive, he's a good run defender and a good zone drop LB, he also has experience with Ejiro Evero from 2022. Like IDL A'Shawn Robinson, Jewell is experienced in Evero's expectations and sought it out.  Suddenly, there are some defenders.
