Donte Jackson To Be Cut

 There's still no Brian Burns news until there is - the latest is the still-not-news thing that the team isn't negotiating with him and will tag him, but until they do tag him, it's not really news, is it? Jeremy Fowler, however, has Carolina dropping Donte Jackson, citing a $4 million roster bonus due on the 16th.  Jackson, a 2018 2nd rounder, ends up one of the longer tenured guys from recent history, since there's been so much upheaval, but he'll take his act elsewhere now. Jackson would save $5.9 million on the cap.  However he was a solid fit for the defense, which is generally speaking pretty light at corner - it returns Jaycee Horn, and essentially nothing else.   They seem interested in returning Troy Hill, and other than that, they're light on talent at a pretty important position (and as we know, Horn is not always available).  

Jackson had one year left; he finishes tied for 5th with 14 INT; he also had 3 FF, 1 sack.
