Monday Cheese Curds: NFL’s schedule release is almost here

Image Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images The Packers know where they will open the 2024 season, but everything else has yet to be determined. By Wednesday evening, NFL teams and their fans will all know what the schedule will be for the upcoming 2024 season. Of course, opponents and game locations are already decided, but the order of those games — as well as the placement of teams’ bye weeks — will provide plenty of interesting discussion and narratives for a few days. The Green Bay Packers already know where and when they will be starting the season, but the rest of the 17-game schedule is an open question. Packers fans will surely start booking up hotel rooms and rental properties for home game weekends right away, but a few matchups in particular should be appealing ones for the NFL and could (or should) get prime-time treatment. Surely, the NFL will schedule a Packers-Bears game as a night game, most likely the one at Lambeau Field. But there are a couple of additional games that should draw massive eyeballs: a Packers-49ers playoff rematch (though that game will be at Lambeau Field), plus the first Jordan Love-C.J. Stroud matchup when the Packers host the Houston Texans. The Packers also host the Miami Dolphins in an intriguing offensive matchup. Soon we’ll know when those games will take place. Until then, keep it here at APC for news and leaks of potential game times. Chiefs to open 2024 season, title defense against Ravens - ESPN
