Packers 2024 Top 30 Draft Visit Tracker

Image Photo by Kara Durrette/Getty Images The Packers are starting to schedule their official visitors in the ramp-up to Draft Day in April. The 2024 NFL Draft is exactly six weeks away, and the Green Bay Packers have begun setting up official visits for draft prospects. Green Bay has historically drafted many of the players whom they bring in for the formal “Top-30” visits, so tracking these prospects is a worthwhile exercise. Last year, the Packers drafted four of the players who they brought in on these visits and acquired two more, either as undrafted free agents after the draft or as free agents later on in the year. Dontayvion Wicks, Sean Clifford, Karl Brooks, and Lew Nichols were all drafted by Green Bay on the third day of the 2023 NFL Draft, while the team acquired Kadeem Telfort and Ben Sims later on. As the name indicates, NFL teams can each bring in 30 prospects for these formal visits in the weeks ahead of the Draft, but they have other opportunities to meet with additional prospects. The team will hold a local Pro Day for prospects who either live or who finished their college careers at programs near the team’s facilities, and they can also hold virtual meetings with additional players as well. APC will keep this list updated with news of confirmed visits, virtual meetings, and local Pro Day visitors in the weeks leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft. Confirmed Top-30 Visits Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M The consensus #1 linebacker in the 2024 NFL Draft, Cooper will be visiting the Packers and a number of other teams (source). Zak Zinter, OL, Michigan The Packers are bringing in Zinter for a visit, likely to have the team’s medical staff give him a full evaluation and workout. The Wolverines’ starting center broke two bones in his leg in the regular season finale against Ohio State and is currently working to recover from the injury, but he was recently cleared for full activity. Zinter is generally seen as a borderline top-100 prospect. Michael Hall, Jr., DT, Ohio State Hall, who declared after his redshirt sophomore season, is another potential top-100 pick coming to Green Bay this spring. He did not test at the 2024 NFL Combine, but he appears to be a highly athletic interior pass-rush specialist who could be a fit as a 3-technique tackle in the Packers’ 4-3 front. Jarrian Jones, CB, Florida State The first defensive back reported to have a visit with the Packers is Jones, who served as the Seminoles’ slot cornerback in 2023. His play picked up significantly when moving inside for his final season, as he picked off a career-high three passes, returning one for a touchdown. Jones initially enrolled at Mississippi State before transferring to Florida State after his true freshman year, then played four years in Tallahassee. The owner of a 9.87 RAS, the 6-foot, 190-pound Jones posted a blistering 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 Combine. He is currently rated 148th on the consensus draft board, putting him in the round 4-5 range. Khristian Boyd, DT, Northern Iowa The first late-round pick/potential UDFA of the group is Boyd, who posted about his visit to Lambeau on his Instagram on March 21st. Northern Iowa is a strong FCS program that has produced plenty of NFL players (running back David Johnson, offensive tackle Trevor Penning, edge rusher Bryce Paup, and Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner among them). Boyd was listed at 6-foot-4 and 317 pounds by the Panthers and played nose tackle in their 3-4 defense. Ja’Quan Sheppard, CB, Maryland The Packers are bringing in another cornerback for a visit in the form of Sheppard, according to Tony Pauline. The 6-foot-1, 201-pounder did not test at the Combine in Indianapolis, but reportedly ran in the low 4.5s at Maryland’s Pro Day. A grad transfer from Cincinnati before the 2023 season, Sheppard will likely be a late-round pick or UDFA, given a #318 ranking on the consensus draft board. Kitan Oladapo, S, Oregon State A big safety at 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds, Oladapo was a sixth-year senior in 2023, which was his third season as a starter for the Beavers. As his frame suggests, he appears to fit best as a box safety, and he recorded 6.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and 27 pass breakups in his college career. Oladapo posted a 4.58-second 40-yard dash at the Combine and an 8.17 RAS, but he does not have agility testing numbers yet and much of the driver for that RAS number is based on his size. He is currently projected to be a day-three draft pick. Oladapo’s upcoming visit was first reported by Justin Melo. Ty’Ron Hopper, LB, Missouri Another likely day-three pick, Hopper is a smallish linebacker who transferred from Florida to Missouri before the 2022 season. Hopper’s 2022 campaign saw him post career-highs with 77 total tackles and 13.5 TFLs as well as his only career interception, but in 2023 he was a finalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation’s top linebacker. Missouri listed him at 6-foot-2 and 221 pounds, while he measured in at 231 at this year’s NFL Combine. He had excellent jumps and decent speed in his pre-draft testing, but poor agilities and his size brought his RAS down to a 7.39. Hopper’s visit was reported by Ryan Fowler. Chris Edmonds, S, Arizona State Justin Melo reports that Edmonds, a transfer from Samford, will visit the Packers. Edmonds played for the Sun Devils for two seasons, recording at least 50 tackles in each season. He intercepted three passes, all in 2022. Edmonds has good build-up speed, running a 4.46 40 at his Pro Day at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, but his other testing numbers were rather mediocre for his position. An FCS All-American in 2021, Edmonds has at least one other official visit during the pre-draft process, that coming with the Indianapolis Colts. Tyler Guyton, OL, Oklahoma A player who has been getting more traction as a mock draft pick for the Packers in recent weeks, Guyton has a visit coming up with the Packers according to Bill Huber and Jacob Westendorf of Packer Central. A potential first-round pick, Guyton was a two-year starter at Oklahoma after transferring from TCU and he posted solid-to-excellent testing numbers across the board at the Combine at nearly 6-foot-8 and 322 pounds. Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia Another mammoth tackle, Mims stands 6-foot-8 and weighed in at 340 pounds at the Combine, then ran the 40 in a shocking 5.07 seconds. Also a potential first-round pick, Mims’ biggest question is experience, as he has started just eight games in college. His visit was reported by Aaron Nagler of CheeseheadTV. Omar Brown, DB, Nebraska A likely UDFA or late-round pick, Brown transferred from Northern Iowa to Nebraska before the 2022 season and started for the Cornhuskers in 2023, recording 51 tackles and one interception. His visit was reported by Darren Wolfson of KSTP in the Twin Cities. Ray Davis, RB, Kentucky Dane Brugler of The Athletic reports that Davis is visiting Green Bay on April 8th. Davis bounced around in college, starting out at Temple before transferring to Vanderbilt in 2021 and Kentucky for his final college season. 2023 was his best campaign, as he posted career-highs in nearly every category with over 1,100 yards on the ground at 5.7 yards per carry and 21 total touchdowns. Davis is currently ranked 119th on the consensus draft board. Bryce Gallagher, LB, Northwestern Another likely UDFA, Gallagher will be visiting the Packers according to Bradley Locker, who covers Northwestern athletics. Gallagher was a tackling machine for the Wildcats, posting over 100 tackles in each of the last two seasons and 90 as a sophomore in 2021, and he reportedly has multiple other team visits this month as well.
