On Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles got a small amount of revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs for last year’s Super Bowl, beating the Chiefs 21-17 at Arrowhead Stadium. Philly’s road does not get much easier this week, however, as they return home to face the Buffalo Bills in another matchup against one of the preseason AFC favorites. Buffalo has struggled of late, dealing with a glut of injuries on defense, but they remain a talented and dangerous team. Meanwhile, Philadelphia holds the top spot in the NFC with a 9-1 record, one that will be tested over the next few weeks as they face the 49ers and Cowboys in weeks 13 and 14. That game will be the top contest in the late afternoon schedule, but there are a couple of other key divisional matchups in the early going. Jacksonville and Houston play today in an AFC South contest that has the division lead on the line, while the Steelers and Bengals will play to jockey for position in the AFC North as well as for the AFC’s final Wild Card spot. There is also a Saints-Falcons game that could see control of the NFC South change hands if Atlanta can come out on top.
