Packers rank in top 10 for most athletic roster by Relative Athletic Score

The Green Bay Packers have one of the NFL’s most athletic rosters overall. By average Relative Athletic Score, the Packers rank seventh out of the 32 NFL teams at this point in the 2024 offseason, according to Kent Lee Platte, the creator of RAS. The Packers’ average RAS on the current 90-man roster is 7.69. The six teams currently ahead of the Packers: 1. Colts: 8.39
2. Eagles: 8.00
3. Jets: 7.88
4. Jaguars: 7.80
5. Giants: 7.75
6. Saints: 7.72 The Packers will play the Eagles and Colts in back-to-back weeks to start the 2024 regular season. They’ll also face the Jaguars and Saints later in the season. Rounding out the top 10 are the Pittsburgh Steelers (7.63), Cleveland Browns (7.57) and Atlanta Falcons (7.53). The least athletic team by RAS? The Los Angeles Rams at 6.66. General manager Brian Gutekunst has consistently targeted top athletes via the draft, and 2024 was no different. Here are the scores of his 2024 class: Jordan Morgan: 9.24
Edgerrin Cooper: 9.13
Javon Bullard: 8.25
MarShawn Lloyd: 8.62
Ty’Ron Hopper: 7.42
Evan Williams: 8.20
Jacob Monk: 9.74
Kitan Oladapo: 8.18
Travis Glover: 4.71
Michael Pratt: 8.28
Kalen King: 6.68 Average: 8.04 The Packers believe bigger, more athletic players have a higher ceiling in the NFL, and lacking somewhere — whether it’s in size or athleticism — limits the potential of a young player. The team has long drafted based on size and athleticism thresholds at positions, dating back to Hall of Fame general manager Ron Wolf. RAS provides a score for every player on a 0-10 scale. The athletic score is based on pre-draft testing and is relative to a player’s size and position. Email Sign up Like this article?
