The Jacksonville Jaguars formally announced their 2024 coaching staff Thursday with nine new hires and two promotions. The list includes Ryan Nielsen, the team’s new defensive coordinator, who will take over for Mike Caldwell. The Jaguars fired Caldwell after two seasons shortly after the 2023 season ended. Last week, Nielsen had his first press conference as defensive coordinator for the team and told reporters that he aims to construct an “attacking” and “aggressive” unit in Jacksonville. Seven of the new hires are on the defensive side of the ball and two are on offense. Two coaches who previously served as quality control coaches were promoted.
