Dolphins News: Dolphins are road underdogs vs. Chiefs for wild-card game

The Miami Dolphins, after falling to the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills in back-to-back weeks, are preparing for their wild-card weekend matchup – a battle with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. According to BetMGM, the Dolphins are 4.5-point underdogs for this contest. They’re also underdogs on the money line, as their victory is set at +185. The over/under for the game is 43.5 points. Mike McDaniel’s team, while they’ve had impressive stretches, struggled to beat some of the league’s best. Their lone win against a winning team came against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. Now, they’ll have to go on the road and earn a victory in freezing conditions, and for a team that plays their home games in Florida, that’s not an easy task. On the other side, Kansas City hasn’t looked like they have in the past. They may have earned the No. 3 seed in the AFC this year, but the have the same record as Miami (11-6). They still have the trio of Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce that can turn the offense into a spectacle at any time, but their defense has been much more important this year. Slowing down Miami’s track stars will be their main goal, and considering how poor the Chiefs were against the run this year, they’ll have their hands full as well. This matchup between the Dolphins and Chiefs will take place on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Email Sign up Like this article?
