Dolphins News: Where do Dolphins land in Touchdown Wire playoff power rankings?

The Miami Dolphins after losing to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17, were handed their sixth and final loss of the regular season on Sunday, as they were downed by the Buffalo Bills 21-14 at Hard Rock Stadium. Through 18 weeks, Mike McDaniel’s team was one of the best in the league, but they weren’t without their struggles, so they ended up losing their lead in the division and falling to the sixth seed in the AFC. Now that the calendar has flipped to the postseason, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey begins his first playoff power ranking cycle. Heading into Week 18, Miami had fallen to No. 7, and now, among just playoff teams, they find themselves at No. 9 of 14. Here’s what Bailey had to say about the Dolphins: “A lot of this boils down to two things: They were destroyed on two separate occasions this season, and they are beat up. Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Xavien Howard, Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert- all are hurt. I need to see the Dolphins play strong football consistently against top teams, which we’ve yet to see. There is a lot of boom or bust to them.” Surprisingly, Miami is in front of their wild-card opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 10). The only other teams they are ahead of are the Philadelphia Eagles (No. 11), Green Bay Packers (No. 12), Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 13) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 14). If the Dolphins upset the Chiefs, they’ll definitely move up next week. 1 out, 4 questionable for Dolphins' playoff matchup vs. ChiefsMike McDaniel has NSFW, candid response to Bill Belichick departure, Nick Saban retirement4 burning questions ahead of Dolphins-Chiefs wild-card battle Email Sign up Like this article?
