Eight draft picks later, and the Cowboys aren’t any closer to having a legitimate lead running back to start the 2024 season. Or are they? The official answer could come as early as Monday, when veteran free agents- like, say, Ezekiel Elliott- can be signed with one important wrinkle that Dallas may have been waiting on. Or… the team’s total shunning of the position all weekend could just portend a busy year for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
