Front and center for Cowboys: 2024 draft class headlined by 3 elite OC prospects

The 2024 NFL draft features a stout first round. Picking at 24, the Cowboys are sure to see a handful of worthy prospects that, with any luck, will align with their team needs, which includes the center position recently vacated by Tyler Biadasz.Reserve man Brock Hoffman looked acceptable in relief last season, but he didn’t play well enough to mandate his insertion into a starting role. The draft is expected to be the solution at OC for Dallas and finding a plug-and-play prospect is fairly important. Luckily this draft class happens to boast three strong candidates to consider in the early going. If the Cowboys decide they want to fix their offensive line as quickly and easily as possible, they could shift their attention from left tackle to center in the first round. There’s a good chance two of the top three OCs will still be on the board when Dallas goes on the clock, and even in a trade down scenario the Cowboys would still likely have at least one option on the table. While the draft boasts depth at OC, there appears to be a fall-off after the top three. If the Cowboys really want to upgrade and not just replace Biadasz in the middle, they should set their sights on that top tier of OC prospects.
