Follow the Money: 2024 prospects and the final-year Cowboys vets they'd intern with

The Dallas Cowboys look to be cleaning up their finances for the 2024 season. Their coaching staff and many top players are on the final year of their contracts. The team has perceived holes on the roster, but in a prove-it season, maybe the Jones family wants their young players to prove themselves as well. Where others see holes, the front office could see opportunities. Can Brock Hoffman, T.J. Bass, or Asim Richards be starting caliber offensive linemen? Are Jalen Tolbert or Jalen Brooks the next receivers to step up into the third receiver spot? Will Sam Williams become the replacement for Dorance Armstrong, is DeMarvion Overshown the teams next star linebacker, or Mazi Smith the future at defensive tackle? The Cowboys believe this is a full prove it year, and Dallas could be in the market to just go best player available in the draft. Pick No. 24 wouldn’t have to be an offensive lineman, pick No. 56 wouldn’t get penciled in as Texas running back Jonathon Brooks, and 87 isn’t the best linebacker available. How much fun would it be to just pick for the future of the team and not just to fill the needs of the 2024 team?
