Cowboys DE Dante Fowler Jr. joins mass migration to Dan Quinn's Commanders

Dante Fowler Jr. is following Dan Quinn once again. The defensive end, who will turn 30 prior to the start of the 2024 season, will leave the Cowboys to play for the Washington Commanders, per multiple reports Tuesday afternoon. Fowler is the third Cowboys player to join Quinn’s inaugural roster as Commanders head coach; defensive end Dorance Armstrong and center Tyler Biadasz were announced on Monday, the first day of this spring’s “legal tampering period.” Fowler first played for Quinn in college at the University of Florida in 2012. He was the No 3 overall draft pick in 2015, where he spent four seasons in Jacksonville and two with the Rams before being reunited with Quinn in Atlanta in 2020. He then followed Quinn to Dallas in 2022 and appeared in 26 games over the past two seasons with the Cowboys defense, racking up eight sacks over his Dallas tenure.
