Cowboys among teams at Georgia's pro day, but top OL prospect sitting out

The Cowboys were among the teams represented at Georgia’s pro day on Tuesday. Actually, all 32 NFL teams had someone in Athens. Given the Bulldogs’ 42-2 record compiled over the past three seasons, the two national championships won in that span, and the 34 players taken in the last three drafts, it’s no surprise that every team in the league would want an up-close-and-personal look at Kirby Smart’s newest prospects. But if Dallas was hoping for a sneak peek at one particular player who’s been linked to them in multiple mock drafts and would be a strong fit in an area of need, they’ll have to wait a while longer. Offensive tackle
Amarius Mims will not work out
for teams at Georgia’s pro day, as he continues to nurse an injury suffered at the scouting combine earlier this month. The 6-foot-7-inch, 340-pound tackle ran an impressive 40-yard dash, but
pulled a hamstring
doing it and was forced to sit out the rest of the drills in Indianapolis. He had hoped to rehab himself back into shape in time for Tuesday’s workouts, but he will now have a separate session for NFL teams on April 10. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is sitting out pro day as well and also plans to participate in the April 10 workout. Both are expected to be first-round picks in this year’s draft. The Cowboys had plenty of other Bulldog prospects to watch on Wednesday, though, and were said to have
wide receiver and defensive back staffers
on hand in Athens. Confirmed attendee list for today's Georgia pro-day. All 32 NFL clubs represented. Steelers and Titans have both HC and GM, as well as Raiders HC Antonio Pierce. Here's position coach breakdown: OC- Panthers, Bengals, Steelers
DC- Steelers
WR- Patriots, Cowboys, Panthers

It’s shaping to be a busy week for pro days, with several other schools hosting workouts at campuses across the country. Dallas had coaches at Oregon, Oklahoma, and South Carolina on Tuesday, watching possible early-round targets like offensive linemen Tyler Guyton (Oklahoma) and Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon), running back Bucky Irving (Oregon), and wide receiver Xavier Legette (South Carolina). Arizona State and Arkansas are among the other schools hosting pro days on Wednesday; Arizona, Clemson, and Colorado are up on Thursday; Penn State, UCLA, and Wisconsin will help close out the week.
