By all accounts, the Washington Commanders had a terrific 2024 NFL draft. Yes, we are aware you can’t officially call an entire draft a success or failure until at least three years later, but there is no doubt that Washington improved. On the first two days of the draft, the Commanders added quarterback Jayden Daniels, defensive tackle Johnny Newton, cornerback Mike Sainristil, tight end Ben Sinnott, offensive tackle Brandon Coleman and wide receiver Luke McCaffrey. Washington believes all six players can help them in 2024. Coleman is the wild card. The Commanders plan to give him a shot at left tackle. If he wins the job, this draft could become a foundational one for Washington. Matt Miller of ESPN recently named the 100 best picks, steals and fits from the NFL draft.
