Washington Commanders general manager Adam Peters acknowledged he was a bit nervous heading into his first draft in charge. Peters has been involved in every NFL draft since 2003, and while he was an assistant GM in San Francisco over the past few seasons, this was his chance to shape the team in his image. The good news for Peters is that his reign began with the No. 2 overall pick, allowing him to choose a quarterback to start a new era of Washington football. Ultimately, Peters and the organization settled on LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, and Peters said that decision was agreed upon some time ago. From all accounts, Peters crushed his first draft. The Commanders picked nine players, several of whom will likely help them this fall.
