Washington Commanders request interview with Ravens Associate HC/DL Coach Anthony Weaver

Michigan Wolverines HC Jim Harbaugh’s agent was reportedly contacting by Bob Myers, who is leading the search for a new coach and head of football operations. Adam Schefter is reporting another name that the Washington Commanders would like to interview. Baltimore Ravens Associate HC/DL Coach Anthony Weaver is the 5th reported candidate for Washington’s open head coaching job. He is a former NFL defensive lineman who played for the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. Weaver has been coaching defense, and specifically the defensive line, since getting hired by the New York Jets as an assistant DL coach in 2012. He has only held the title on defensive coordinator for one season(Texans, 2020), but was the Ravens run game coordinator in 2021, and that role was elevated to associate head coach the following year.
