PFF declares Andrew Wylie Washington’s most underrated player

Image Photo by Brandon Sloter/Image Of Sport/Getty Images In some circles, I expect this announcement to go over with roughly the same reception as a fart in church, but earlier today Pro Football Focus wrote an article profiling the “most underrated” player on each NFL roster. Washington’s entry: tackle Andrew Wylie. PFF has #Commanders tackle Andrew Wylie as the most underrated player on the team

What do y’all think?

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: T ANDREW WYLIE Wylie came over from Kansas City with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to play right tackle for the Commanders. Although he gave up a sack in each of his first four games with Washington, Wylie got better as the season went on and eventually earned a 69.2 PFF overall grade — a career-high mark for him on his way to ranking 16th among right tackles. A ranking of 16th puts Wylie dead average among starting right tackles in the league, a far cry from where many Washington fans would have you believe he deserves to rank. Is it possible that Adam Peters, Dan Quinn, and company are actually comfortable that the right side of the line is locked down adequately, at least for the time being? Increasingly, I believe that it just might be.
