For a while last season, it looked like the Washington Commanders may have found their franchise quarterback in Sam Howell. Unfortunately for Washington, some of Howell’s issues that led him to fall to the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft showed up in his play, and he struggled throughout the second half of the season. On Thursday, general manager Adam Peters moved on from Howell, trading him to the Seattle Seahawks in a pick swap. Howell’s future has been in question since Peters took over Washington in January, with the Commanders holding the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Washington is expected to take a quarterback between Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, or Jayden Daniels. Howell, meanwhile, gets a fresh start and a chance to compete with Geno Smith to start at quarterback for the Seahawks. How is everyone feeling about the news?
