With continuity, players know what the expectations are, the roles within the offensive and defensive systems, and the terminology. It is oftentimes in the second season with a head coach that teams make big strides.Along with that, the Colts will also be getting Anthony Richardson back under center. GM Chris Ballard has built what should be a very disruptive defensive front, Adonai Mitchell provides that needed playmaking presence on offense, and the Colts return their entire starting offensive line–a unit that was top 10 in yards per rush and quarterback pressure rate.“When you have your system in place, it helps big time, especially with the players understanding the verbiage and terminology,” Steichen said. “But really trying to stay on the cutting edge of things because this league is always changing.
