Colts News: Colts agree to re-sign LB Ronnie Harrison Jr.

The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back another in-house free agent, this time in the form of linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. Though Harrison entered the league as a safety, the Colts used him primarily as a hybrid linebacker during the second half of the 2023 season following the release of Shaquille Leonard. Unlike the other five free agents to re-sign with the team up to this point, Harrison’s deal is only for one year. Indy keeping another of its own: LB/safety Ronnie Harrison is returning to the Colts on a one-year deal, per source. https://t.co/TzxQ1xfRsH — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 13, 2024   Harrison seemed to play well in that role as a depth linebacker and now is likely to compete with Grant Stuard and Segun Olubi for the No. 3 linebacker role behind starters Zaire Franklin and E.J. Speed. This move shouldn’t keep the Colts from adding more depth and upside to the linebacker room, but it does give them some intriguing depth to fall back on if they need it. On 19.98% of the defensive snaps, Harrison recorded 20 tackles (11 solo), a tackle for loss, a quarterback hit, one sack and one interception. He appeared in seven games, making three starts while also playing 12.8% of the special teams snaps. 25 best remaining free agents for the Colts to considerColts free agency roundup: Everything we know from Day 2How we graded the Colts' expected signing of Raekwon Davis
