Colts News: Colts open as 2.5-point favorites over Steelers

The Indianapolis Colts (7-6) will be looking to get back on track following a brutal loss when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 15. Both teams are coming off tough losses from the previous week. The Colts suffered their biggest defeat of the season, losing 34-14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Meanwhile, the Steelers were on the wrong side of an upset in a 21-18 loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. According to BetMGM, 70% of bettors believe the Colts will cover the 2.5-point spread with 66% taking the Colts’ moneyline as of this writing. Meanwhile, the over is being taken by 71% of bettors. This will be another battle of the backups as Gardner Minshew and Mitch Trubisky face off. The Steelers will be without starter Kenny Pickett due to ankle surgery that will force him to miss a second consecutive game. Meanwhile, the Colts could be without running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) for a third consecutive game and right tackle Braden Smith (knee) for a second consecutive game. With the Steelers as the No. 6 seed and the Colts as the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoff race, seven teams have a 7-6 record entering Week 15. This matchup will play a heavy role in shaping the playoff race with a month to go.
