Bucs News: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay Packers: Thursday Injury Report

Image Photo by Mike Carlson/Getty Images Some concerning Bucs injuries loom for a key road game. Ahead of a chilly December road trip to Green Bay, the Buccaneers face several lingering injury questions on big-name players. Most notably, Chris Godwin did not participate with a knee issue, as several injuries have bothered him for the last month. On defense, Carlton Davis tweaked his groin on Sunday and has not participated either, nor as Vita Vea (toe), Ryan Neal (back) and Will Gholston (knee). To pile on more, even long snapper Zach Triner has been absent due to an elbow injury. If all of these injuries prove to keep them sidelined, the Bucs are looking at a serious test of their depth against a resurgent Packers team and QB Jordan Love. Optimistically, Jamel Dean seems poised to return after a 3-game absence, which would soften the loss of Davis. Devin White is also recovering from a foot injury that cost him two games, though one could argue his would be not-so-great news — his replacements, J.J. Russell and K.J. Britt, both played objectively well in his stead. For the Green Bay Packers, they’re dealing with even more injuries. Their top two running backs, Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, are fighting through injuries. Jones has missed multiple games with a knee issue and remains limited, and Dillon hurt his thumb on Monday, which has kept him out entirely. Their best offensive lineman, Elgton Jenkins, downgraded Thursday from limited to DNP with a shoulder problem. Other limited notables names include CB Jaire Alexander, WR Jayden Reed, S Darnell Savage, and LB Quay Walker. Here’s the full report: Image
