The Tampa Bay Bucs placed defensive lineman Mike Greene on injured reserve with a calf injury and promoted defensive lineman Patrick O’Connor to the active roster. Greene missed last week’s game at Indianapolis due to an injury and was ruled out by head coach Todd Bowles for Sunday’s game against Carolina. Greene (6-3, 293) has appeared in 10 games for the Bucs this season, making two starts and logging six tackles. Greene originally signed with Tampa Bay as a college free agent on May 16, 2022, following his participation in rookie mini-camp as a tryout player. He wears No. 91 for Tampa Bay. O’Connor has logged 13 tackles (three for loss), five quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks while being a core contributor on special teams, where he has added seven tackles, one blocked punt and one blocked field goal attempt. He originally entered the league as a seventh-round selection (No. 250 overall) of the Detroit Lions in the 2017 NFL Draft.
