Bucs Injury List Grows With 2 New Additions

The Tampa Bay Bucs’ injury list unfortunately grew on Saturday, as the team reported that defensive tackle Mike Greene suffered a calf injury and will not travel to Indianapolis for the team’s Week 12 game. Starting running back Rachaad White is now listed as questionable with a knee injury. The Bucs were already down two starters with head coach Todd Bowles ruling out inside linebacker Lavonte David with a groin injury and starting cornerback Jamel Dean with an ankle injury. Inside linebacker Devin White and cornerback Carlton Davis III are expected to be game-time decisions due to foot and hip injuries, respectively. Now White will join them as a game-time decision on Sunday with a knee injury. White did not appear on the injury all week, while Greene did not practice on Friday due to his calf injury. Rachaad White Not Playing Would Be A Blow To Bucs Offense ImageBucs RB Rachaad White – Photo by: USA Today If Rachaad White cannot play or his effectiveness is limited by his knee injury, the Bucs would turn to backup running backs Chase Edmonds and Ke’Shawn Vaughn to carry the load. Neither has been effective, and it would be a big blow to Tampa Bay’s offense due to White’s ability to run and catch the ball. Edmonds has 18 carries for 37 yards and a paltry 2.1-yard average, while Vaughn has 24 carries for 42 yards and a dismal 1.8-yard average. Although the Bucs’ ground game is floundering again this season, White leads the Bucs in rushing with 141 carries for 459 yards (3.3 avg.) and four touchdowns. But he’s been even more effective as a receiver out of the backfield. White has 41 catches for 354 yards (8.6 avg.) and one touchdown. He’s Tampa Bay’s third-leading receiver this season and neither Edmonds nor Vaughn has proven to be a trusted weapon in the passing game. Edmonds only has five catches for 24 yards (4.8 avg.), while Vaughn has just two catches for 2 yards (1.0 avg.). The post Bucs Injury List Grows With 2 New Additions appeared first on Pewter Report.
