Is Sedrick Van Pran-Granger the Bills’ Starting Center?

Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, despite being selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills, is seen as an ideal addition to the team’s offensive front due to his toughness and reliability. The Bills took Van Pran-Granger at Pick #141, immediately bolstering their offensive line. Van Pran-Granger, a former center for the Georgia Bulldogs, boasts an impressive career. Over the last three seasons, he anchored Georgia’s stout offensive front, starting in 44 games and contributing to two national championships. His final season at Georgia was particularly stellar, earning him ESPN and Sports Illustrated All-America First-Team honors. Additionally, he received the 2023 SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy, recognizing him as the conference’s best offensive lineman. Standing at 6 feet, 4 inches and weighing 298 pounds, Van Pran-Granger brings both size and experience to the Bills. His toughness will be invaluable in the cold conditions of New York. Notably, he has prior experience blocking for former Georgia tailback James Cook, with whom he won a national title in 2021. With the departure of Mitch Morse, Sedrick Van Pran-Granger has a promising opportunity to secure the starting center position as a rookie. The next few months will be critical for him to make an impact in his first year as a pro. Bills fans can look forward to seeing this talented rookie contribute to their offensive success in the upcoming 2024 NFL season.
