Bills News: What Bills' Brandon Beane said about Matt Araiza signing with Chiefs

Former controversial Bills punter Matt Araiza has found a new home in the NFL. Buffalo selected him in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft before he was released due to allegations of sexual assault. While Araiza’s release made sense at the time, he is now getting a second chance in the NFL in Kansas City after a lawsuit was dropped. The Chiefs signed him to a contract prior to the ongoing 2024 NFL scouting combine. While at the combine, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach note it was a “long process,” before signing the punter. Veach was not the only GM to discuss Araiza. So did Brandon Beane. The Bills GM told WIVB-TV that the situation with Araiza in Buffalo was a “no win” and admitted he did not want to release him.
