Bills News: How Josh Allen helped the Bills sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Marquez Valdes-Scantling signed with the Buffalo Bills, in part, thanks to Josh Allen.Yes, the 29-year-old will have liked the idea of playing with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.That’s not the only way Allen did some convincing. Valdes-Scantling inked a one-year deal. He did so shortly after it was initially reported that he was taking a free-agent visit in Buffalo on Monday. So what convinced him so quickly? Allen’s hospitality. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Allen invited Valdes-Scantling over for dinner after his visit. While Valdes-Scantling has had some ups and downs in his NFL career, the Bills are in need for quality and depth at the receiver position. This offseason saw the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis from the team’s wideout room. This sounds like a good first step in potentially addressing both if Allen and Valdes-Scantling got along so well that he decided to stay in Buffalo.
