Why do some prospects fall further in the draft than we think they should, based on their collegiate performances? For as many reasons as other prospects rise beyond what we imagine their ideal NFL station may be. In the case of draft sleepers, it could be that the prospect was hidden behind other, better players, and didn’t get enough time on the field for a realistic assessment. Or, there could be personality and off-field issues to consider. Maybe a prospect doesn’t fit the size/speed requirements most NFL teams hold to.
