Bills News: Brandon Beane says Bills are not 'giving up' after Stefon Diggs trade

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane isn’t afraid to say it: his team’s roster is not as good anymore after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. “Are we better today? Probably not. It’s a work in progress,” Beane said via video conference. “These moves are never easy — very hard, not made overnight, anything like that — but any time you make a move like this, as I said, very difficult, you’re doing it because you’re trying to win,” he added. At first the deal was very shocking because of compensation. With the newly added layer that Diggs signed a new contract in Houston which is only a one-year deal, it doesn’t look as poorly of a transaction as it once did with Buffalo. It’s still not great to lose your best playmaker, but still. Regardless, we won’t know the full result of this trade for years to come. For now, here’s Beane’s full reaction to the deal via WKBW-TV: Brandon Beane's message to #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/nJuYc3C6hC — Matthew Bové (@Matt_Bove) April 3, 2024 Bills sign OL La'el Collins to one-year dealStefon Diggs' last target with the Bills was a doozy (video)Reactions: National media, fans see two sides to Stefon Diggs trade
