The Chicago Bears found themselves with the best quarterback in the class during the 2024 NFL Draft. They were also able to land the best punter as well. The Bears selected Iowa punter Tory Taylor in the fourth round with the No. 122 overall pick. Taylor comes to a team in desperate need of punting help after they finished near the bottom of the league in most categories at the position. It’s the fifth time since 2010 that a punter has been drafted in the fourth round.Taylor made a name for himself thanks to his booming kicks in Iowa City, coupled with the offense’s lack of production. In 2023, he helped the Hawkeyes finish first in the Big Ten West with an appearance in the conference championship game.
