The Chicago Bears were a bit more active on day two of the early negotiating period, with tight end Gerald Everett and safety Jonathan Owens inked yesterday. They join Chicago's day one pick up, running back D'Andre Swift. These deals and the trade for Ryan Bates should officially be announced today at 3:00 p.m. (CT) when the NFL opens its league year. There may also be several veterans released ahead of the league year opening, as that’s also the deadline for teams to get under the salary cap.
