70% of Bears fans want Justin Fields to return in 2024

Image Photo by Nick Cammett/Diamond Images via Getty Images We wrap up this week’s Reacts survey results with how you voted on our Justin Fields questions. It appears that Chicago Bears fans believe that the fates of Matt Eberflus and Justin Fields are linked because 51% of our Reacts voters think both ‘Flus and Fields will be back for the 2024 season. However, there’s a big difference in what we think will happen with these two and what we want to happen. While our fanbase is down to just 27% wanting Eberflus to get a third season, there are 70% of us who want Fields back next year. I would love nothing more than to cheer for QB1 to maximize his potential and lead this team to multiple championships, but I think it’s far more likely he’ll be dealt this offseason. I expect the Panthers to finish with the worst record in the league, and since their first-round pick belongs to the Bears, general manager Ryan Poles will be taking a quarterback. The only path I see for Fields to stay a Bear, if Chicago does get the top draft pick, is for him to go on an absolute tear these last three games, and then if Eberflus somehow manages to keep his job. But if ‘Flus and Fields return, then there will be a new offensive coordinator on staff. If you haven’t seen it yet, this Fields interview with WGN’s Kaitlin Sharkey is a must-see.

I was a fan of Fields when he was drafted, and I’ll be a fan wherever he ends up playing.
