The double header features two bad teams, one good team, and one team fighting to stay in the NFC wildcard race. Let’s start with the good team. Before you get scared away by a thirteen point spread, which admittedly is a big number for a Monday Night Football game, let’s recap what the Miami Dolphins have been able to do to bad teams this year. The Dolphins beat the Broncos by 50, Giants by 15, Panthers by 21, Patriots by 14, Jets by 21, and the Commanders by 30. They wallop bad football teams. Their three losses are at the hands of the Bills, Eagles, and Chiefs. In other words, they take care of business in these games. However, the Tennessee Titans are a rock fight kind of team. They want to slug it out in the teens and low 20’s to try and steal a win late. They have managed to keep it close against the Ravens (16-24) but were blown out a few weeks ago by the Jags (14-34). Otherwise, this Titans team really hasn’t played anyone special and they still sit at 4-8. Soft schedule and bad record isn’t a particularly good sign. As much as I like Mike Vrabel, he’s fighting an uphill battle in this one. I think the Dolphins are a good football team firing on all cylinders right now. They’ve got two relatively easy wins in front of them before they finish the year with Dallas, Baltimore, and Buffalo. Time to take care of business. As for the other game... should be ugly.
