Perry Knotts/Getty Images R E V E N G E! If you look at the box score, the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles both won against difficult opponents in Week 12. But the game played on Thursday night compared to the one played on Sunday afternoon had two entirely different feels to them. Seattle got as close as 7-3. The score was 24-3 at half and the 31-13 final doesn’t do the dominant Niners’ performance justice. San Francisco out gained Seattle 377 to 220, and they didn’t really do much of anything offensively in the second half. The Eagles were down 17-7 at halftime. The Buffalo Bills missed two field goals and threw an interception which led to a quick score for the Eagles. Philadelphia was out gained 505, yes, 505 yards to 378. They struggle to cover, and the Bills made them pay. Buffalo had five red zone trips, with four resulting in touchdowns. The 49ers will have plenty of opportunities to score. The question comes down to will they convert on early downs to avoid third downs? And will the road team settle for field goals? Brock Purdy doesn’t have anywhere near the arm strength that Josh Allen does, but he’s aggressive and pushes the ball down the field to his star players. It’s also worth noting that the Bills, a team who cannot run the ball, ran for 173 yards. Purdy will have his chances to run the ball, too. The 49ers are 1.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total on the game set at 46. It feels like oddsmakers are begging for people to bet on the Eagles. But this is the same Philly team that expended a ton of energy to get to overtime and win in a rainy environment where they had no business winning.
