They have several promising young players to develop and would be wise to look to add some expiring contracts if that also gets them some draft picks. With that in mind, people could look at Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma as the only two tradeable players on the roster, as they could both help some contending teams. But with Poole performing so poorly and Kuzma picking up the slack, his trade value might be at an all-time high, at least according to Wizards fan account Bullets Forever. That’s why Kuzma took to Twitter to hilariously ask that account why he wants the team to trade him. Damn bro why you wanna trade me? — kuz (@kylekuzma) November 28, 2023 Truth be told, the Wizards aren’t anywhere close to contention right now, and that’s not going to change in the foreseeable future. They need to get rid of as many veteran players as they can, and Kuzma could get them an interesting trade return. While his basketball IQ isn’t particularly high, Kuzma has proven to be an above-average defender and a guy who can play all frontcourt spots if need be. He can put the ball on the floor and score from all three levels. He might not be a star-caliber player or even an elite second option, but he could be an elite contributor to a contender in the right situation, just like he was with the Los Angeles Lakers.
