(Photo by Scott Taetsch/Getty Images) During the NBA offseason, the Washington Wizards decided it was time to shake things up, with the struggling franchise having no success with stars Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzings leading the way. As a result, the team re-signed Kyle Kuzma to a long-term deal while also trading away arguably the team’s two best players, Beal and Porzingis. Porzingis was sent to the Boston Celtics while Beal was dealt to the Phoenix Suns, but the one trade that changed the direction of the franchise was the team bringing in Jordan Poole from the Golden State Warriors. With Poole no longer seeing eye-to-eye with veteran forward Draymond Green in the Bay Area, something had to give during the summer, which turned out to be the Warriors trading him to the Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul, who ended up in Washington as part of the Beal deal with Phoenix. Now that Poole is in the fold in the nation’s capital, many anticipated it would become his team, and there’d be a feeling-out process with Kuzma. So far, Kuzma has led the charge offensively, but Poole believes it’s his team, as he made clear while ignoring what the head coach had to say on the bench, via NBACentral. Jordan Poole
