The Washington Wizards are hosting the Atlanta Hawks Saturday evening as Washington tries to avoid dropping a ninth consecutive game. Atlanta, meanwhile, sits at 7-7 after a win against the Brooklyn Nets in which Trae Young scored 43 points. Luckily for Wizards fans, rookie Bilal Coulibaly is no longer listed on the team’s injury report, indicating he will likely play tonight. Coulibaly is averaging 8.4 points per game on over 50% shooting from the field and nearly 44% shooting from three-point range. For the Wizards to pull this one out, their 29th-ranked defense needs to step it up. This means constantly keeping heavy ball pressure on Trae Young to try and force turnovers. On the side of the ball, the Hawks’ defense is only slightly better than the Wizards’, so isolating the Wizards’ best scorers on the defensively challenged Young is key.
