Jordan Poole Makes Clear Statement On His NBA Legacy

Image(Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)   During the NBA offseason, the Golden State Warriors seemed to be determined to shake things up, as they clearly were unable to go toe-to-toe with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA playoffs. After getting knocked out of the second round of the postseason by LeBron James and company, the Warriors didn’t waste much time making some moves to better their franchise moving forward. One of those moves was trading guard Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for veteran point guard Chris Paul. This move took everyone by surprise, with new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. claiming Poole would be with the team for a long time and Paul not exactly the best fit in Steve Kerr’s uptempo offense in San Francisco. Despite getting moved, presumably because of his rift with Draymond Green and frustrating shot selection, Poole believes that winning a title with the Warriors has taken care of his basketball legacy, according to Logan Murdock of The Ringer via Legion Hoops. “My basketball legacy is taken care of with the ring,” Poole said. Usually, a young player on the move and able to start fresh on a team that will showcase his talents is hungrier than ever, but that clearly doesn’t seem to be the case with Poole, as he’s talking like a veteran at the end of his career. This is probably not the best sign for the Wizards. The post Jordan Poole Makes Clear Statement On His NBA Legacy appeared first on The Cold Wire.
